Honored by having been recently dubbed the “Professor of Soul” by the legend Randy Muller, I started my career in the music industry at the tender age of 2 years old. My earliest musical memories of listening to the Beatles and early Motown influences with songs like “Sweet Soul Music by Arthur Connelly, I was hooked.
Back in the day Sands in Luton was the place to be, the home of Soul for celebrity artists and the venue for my first professional gig. Rapidly progressing to hosting my own Soul Night moving onto Scamps in Hemel Hempstead who attracted phenomenal dancers Tommy Mack, Clive Clarke, including celebrity footballer Laurie Cunningham.
I worked for NBC in the 90s, working in the news department. Rapid promotion ensued and before I knew it I was presenting several different shows per week of different genres.
I have an extensive resume of artists who I have had the pleasure to interview throughout my years in the industry including Roy Ayres, Mai Thai, Randy Muller, Eban Brown from the Stylistics, Gerald Albright, Phil Phearon, Freddie Jackson, Michael Lovesmith, DD Bridgewater, to name just a few.
I have enjoyed more recently working for local charity radio at Secklow Sounds in Milton Keynes, assisting with the production and presentation of their very successful Sunday Soul Show, which was very well received by out public.
I am now delighted to become part of the Sound Fusion Radio team. With their ethos and mine, in tune with each other, I am looking forward building a strong healthy relationship with my new found family at Sound Fusion Radio .
Our Motto is “It ‘s all about the love of the Music ” that statement for me says it all
because that is what we do.
