SHORT BIOGRAPHY

Katie Leone doesn’t fit into any particular stereotype. Brought up in the countryside in an area with no diversity, black music stood out to her as something really beautiful that she connected with and a vibe she wanted to tap into. A prolific writer from an early age, Katie honed her considerable vocal skills through constant gigging and session work and collaborations with the likes of Toby Smith (Jamiroquai) Brian Henry (Soul 2 Soul) and Carl Hudson (Digisoul band) Katie as a vocalist has worked with many many greats, including Jocelyn Brown, Roy Ayers, Omar and Chaka Khan. In 2012 Bluey from Incognito rightly identified Katie as one of the UK’s finest voices, and she subsequently joined the Incognito family. Katie continues to tour worldwide with the band and jazz funk fans will recognise her gorgeous and distinctive lead vocals as well as colourful and vibrant stage presence. “Prism of Light” is her long awaited debut album release, and Album Launch Party takes place at The Electric Carousel, Piccadilly on Sunday 12th July.
